The other day I was eating an apple for lunch, took too big of a bite, and bit into the core. Inside I found something interesting.
The seeds were sprouting! Hmmm, that’s interesting I thought. And then I found myself not wanting to throw them away. Probably because we are trying to save and grow many types of seeds and plants this year. So what did I do? I planted them 🙂
I have no idea if they will even grow, but there’s no harm in trying right? And if they do I really don’t know what we’ll get… but hey, thats part of the fun too. Apple trees can be grafted with different varieties if you know how to do it (which we’d have to learn if we get that far). The best outcome of this would be a productive tree which we could say we started from seed.
