A few weeks ago we started trying to regrow carrot tops. So, what has happened in those few weeks? Well for starters, they’re still green (always a good sign) and have lots of small roots growing now.
You can see in the pictures the roots coming from tap root which was left on the green tops. I know they’re growing too, because the little dish they’re in dries out every day. For now I am going to leave them in water until there are longer, stronger roots developed. Then they will be planted in a pot with soil.
I’m excited about the success we have had so far! And hopefully there will be a part 3 or 4 of this story called Gathering Carrot Seeds. That is, after all, the ultimate goal of this entire project 🙂
