Sunny Thoughts

Today was an extremely sunny, warm day for being December. On one hand it was wonderful to get out and enjoy the weather, but on the other hand we need snow for moisture. Since we can’t control the weather though I just enjoyed what we had.

While outside checking the flower beds, I found several small green plants nestled under the thick cover of leaves we left. I’m hoping they’re from the wildflower seed mix I sprinkled out there early this fall when planting bulbs.

We did some pre-spring weeding also by picking up most of the grass and other seed pods we didn’t want growing with the flowers. If the seeds aren’t there, the weeds shouldn’t be there – right? šŸ™‚ That’s the idea at least….

While doing all this I started thinking of what would be nice to have for next year…you could call it a gardening Christmas list šŸ™‚

As you can see, there’s nothing really major here, just a few nice-to-haves. What would be on your list?
