As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. I can’t believe how much these chicks have grown since we brought them home just over a week ago! So what has been happening in the past week? Well, for one they have out grown the tote we had them in. They would stretch out as tall as they could and peck the net we had over the top. Actually the first thing they did was start to fly to the top of the tote. That started on day 2 🙂 So we put the net over top. Since then they would try any time we removed the net.
To fix both problems we now have them in a wire dog cage (minus the dog of course!). Truthfully I don’t think they knew what to do with all the room – they stayed by the front for awhile before venturing around. But today they enjoyed their first day outside in the grass and man were they busy checking things out! So far this chick experience has been fun 🙂
