It’s time to plant the garden! Actually it’s time to plant the cool weather plants that don’t want to grow in the full heat of summer. During week 1 we cleaned up the raised beds (pulled weeds, removed sticks and things, added compost) and planted some seeds. I’m working on hardening-off the plants that I have started, but it’s still below freezing at night and I’m not sure I could keep the cabbage and broccoli plants warm enough to not freeze. I’m going to wait another week or two before I plant them outside.
One week after we planted the seeds there are a few already coming up. It’s only been a week though and many of the varieties we planted take closer to 10-14 days to sprout, so its ok that we don’t see much right now. In the video I also show how we setup our pvc hoops over the raised beds.
